How can you make a difference in someone’s life?
Connecting with the community through volunteering is one way.
School volunteering is a part of the pastoral and social justice options available to our school community. SDEHS is an active supporter of the local Hope Street community. 'Kids giving back' will be joining us in the afternoon facilitating our contribution to the preparation of needed meals for our local community.
Join us at SDEHS on the 22nd of March for Harmony Day where we will combine Harmony Day activities in the morning with preparing meals in the afternoon. This is a great chance to get involved and make a positive impact on the lives of people in need.
As someone ‘giving back’ to the community you will be able to work with a team to prepare meals that will be delivered to those in our community who are struggling. Not only will you be helping to make a difference, but you will also be able to gain valuable skills and experience in teamwork and food preparation.
Harmony Day is open to all home students and is a fantastic way to spend your time giving back. It’s a great opportunity to bond with your peers, learn new skills and have fun while doing good.
We can’t wait to see you there!
